He has recently been more involved in animation design and is just about to release his first limited run of poseable BAD JUJU art figures. He has neverdone a film poster, but would really, really like to.
One of his earliest influences was a cartoon called Battle of the Planets that was shown in England which he later found out was originally a Japanese anime called Gatchaman. He would love to visit Japan, especially Tokyo, but is slightly worried about the amount of money he would spend on plastic toys, records, and Pez dispensers.
"JAKe" was born in Hull and lives and works in East London. He does a
mixture of illustration and design as part of the DETONATOR studio, home to

thought humanly possible.

Esquire, Hip-Hop Connection, The Ilustrated Ape, Ministry, Muzik,The
Guardian, The Independent On Sunday, Nova and Bliss.

He has done record sleeves for the likes of Prodigy, Ugly Duckling, Norman
Cook, Locked-On Recordings and Bad Magic label as well as work for
Lucasfilm, BBC, Channel 4 , MTV and the V2001 Festival.

he likes Hip-hop, monkeys, stickers, the paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat,
Batman, the Yellow Submarine cartoon, and bananas, but is not especially
talented at getting out of bed in the morning.
